County in the Press
#1
Starting a new thread for people to add anything they see in the press Staggie related that may be of interest to others.

Not so much to add comments but hopefully more of a one stop shop for a County read.

I'll start us off with an interview with Harry Clarke

Harry Clarke feels he can thrive in Ross County's right-back slot (pressandjournal.co.uk)

"Ross County have one of the lowest budgets in the league, if not the lowest but we have been playing really good football and once we start getting the points on the board, we’ll be really good and start collecting points."

Seems the Coventry media team is as poor as ours.

As for the lowest budget in the league, that certainly isn't true.

We basically punted every player over £1k in the summer.

And as most of who we have brought in are loans I can't imagine our wage budget has gone up much.

Cheers min, nice to read about the mutual respect between player and manager.
Any connection between rcc and your user name? If you don't mind me asking.

Ha, Na.. RC = Ross County, the chimp part comes from a book "the chimp paradox" basically our inner thoughts are pesky little chimps and every now and then you need to exercise them for your own well being. Its healthy to vent!!

Thanks for that, especially the Arsenal one. Arsenal are called the Gunners of course and the the dailycannon website seems to be run by a fan. Amazing amount of information on there. Just shows the huge gulf between teams like Arsenal in the Premier League and Ross County in the Scottish Premiership. Just reminded me how lucky we are to have our team in the top flight of Scottish football in little old Dingwall, where we can just about scrape 3000 home fans together for a game. Incredible really. Let's hope it will continue next season !

Harry Clarke seems to be a good guy and is a class player. Far too good for our team. He was personally criticised on the tele by our manager for their second goal, which he acknowledged,  whilst our captain on the day didn't get a mention for his howler for the third.

Nothing to do with luck, the club are where they are on merit.
