Snowman Rally 2012, Sat 18th February.
#1
Our annual chance to see these cars on dirt or hopefully snow is almost here.
Ross County play Ayr @ VP on the same day, but some of us will wish to see the rallying.

Does anyone have inside info to where the stages are this year?
I can't really wait until the programme is realsied, as it maybe too late for me.

I.M welcome is you have info or just post it!

from what I've read in another post

1. Daviot
2. Ord Hill (2 runs back to back through stage)
3. Rogie (extended to 18 miles)
4. Kiltarlity (new stage never been used)
5. Glen Urquhart

No idea about actual locations as of yet,May have to ask around some mates to see if there are heading, since I use public transport and I can't see an easy to get to stage.

Update on some further info from another website

1) Meall Mor (Moy) - south of Inverness.
2) Ord Hill (North Kessock) - north of Inverness.
3) Torr Achility (Strathpeffer) - North west of Dingwall.
4) Boblainy (Kiltarlity) - Soutwest of Beauly.
5) Glen Urquhart (Drumnadrochit) - Southwest of Inverness.

Depending upon how far in to Ord Hill the stage is, i might head that way see 2 stages and then go into town and get some grub and either head home or see the winner roll in. If it's a big hike to get there then Torr Achility will be where I go.

I'm reliably informed that the ord hill stage starts at "11ish". No spectators officially allowed beyond the kessock roundabout.

I think we're going to park in the gay toilets and walk up, or just walk up from kessock.

Well that was a lot of fun....out in the cold, driving snow and wind. Anyway took my camera out for a bit of photography, not the best I could have done but still a decent effort I feel in bad weather.
