I always thought MacPhee just didn't have the drive and aggression needed for a top flight midfielder. He often seemed lightweight.
I remember him as a FB when he played for us?
Was captain if I recall correctly.

I think he was played in several positions, they never seemed to decide where they wanted him to be. I'm sure I saw him at centre half once.

Lawson played alongside ex staggies Archie MacPhee (scored), Scott Ferries (scored) and Stuart Anderson - I presume it's the same one.
Garry Wood was an unused sub and they also have a Callum Dingwall!

Whenever I watched the U20s at the time he featured, Archie MacPhee looked a player that could have stepped up to a higher level. 
Wonder how he would have fared under the current Ketts setup.

Evidence that a player probably shouldn't go around telling his manager that he's a better player than the incumbent in the position.
