Speculation thread
Erwin gone without a fee. Granted maybe for other reasons but surely worth a small fee as under contract. This would pay for some juniors

Whos next?

Chalmers has gone to Ayr on 2 year deal, struggled to hold down a starting place with us, wish him well

We let Erwin go for no fee to a team who we will be fighting relegation with. 3 minutes into his first game for St Mirren he scores (against the current champions)?‍♂️?

anyone know whats happening with Mullin? barely getting any game time at all seems strange considering his crossing ability

There's not really a place for him in the system we've played for most of the season
If you look at the heatmaps from our games this season (Examples here), you can clearly see the role that the right-sided attacker (presumably the role you think Mullin should be used in) is being asked to play is somewhat narrower than where Mullin is at his best. He's naturally a touchline-hugging, get-half-a-yard-and-cross type winger, which isn't something that fits in with this system, where the front line is more inverted and fluid
If Randall is out for any length of time, I actually think there's a case to be made for Mullin getting a run out at RB- he was utilised there by Livingston and we were horribly exposed by Watson's lack of pace down that side on Saturday

Looks like a lee Erwin replacement by his style of play but with a few more goals , could be a good signing was captain at his last club and only 22!

How about a change of system to accommodate our better players, ie Stewart up front and mullin on the wing? Not scoring enough goals and -7 goal difference after 9 games is alarming already, have we improved from last season?

We had a better player player than him who played in that position and we didn't play him, probably why he asked to leave.

Would be surprised if McMullan left United for us. But he certainly caused us (and others) plenty problems last year.

The socially distanced rumour mill at the Celtic game had Chalmers (I think he had already departed), Mullin, Fontaine and Spittal departing..

That rumour mill is turning out some decent ... material.

Did the rumour mill say why they were departing. I realise they were not getting games but previously were thought of as part of the 1st team squad. Has there been any issues behind the scenes?
